Ministries I am interested in.. REQUIRED Altar servers - assists the priest at mass and other liturgical services. Building and maintenance committee - assists in the building and maintenance needs of the grounds of our church. Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) - youth sports teams organization. Children of God Prayer Group - proclaims the Lordship of Jesus, proclaims the gospel and Church teachings. Choir/Music Ministry - enhances the liturgy of the mass by providing both traditional and modern music of the Church. Church Keepers - assists to maintain the cleanliness of our church. Church Linens - assists in cleaning, ironing, and preparation of linens for mass celebration. Children's Religious Education (CRE) - to teach the faithful life, preparation of the reception of sacraments to children. Divine Mercy - promotes the devotion to the practice of the mercy of GOD manifested in Jesus Christ. Divine Mercy - Men's Spanish Group Divine Mercy - Women's Spanish Group Extra-ordinary Ministries of Holy Communion (EMHC) - assists the priest and deacon in the distribution of the Eucharist during mass, to parishioners in convalescents, hospitals, and to shut-ins. Festival Committee - manages the annual parish festival held in September. Filipino Catholic Families - service to God, and our parish community by bringing the culture and traditions of the Philippines through various religious celebrations. Financial Council - assists the pastor and parish ministers on all aspects of the financial management of the parish. Knights of Columbus - provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities and service to the Catholic Church, the community, families, and young people. Lector Ministry - proclaims the word of God, leads prayer responses, and leads other customary duties. Legion of Mary - to do works of evangelization in union with the Church and the Blessed Mother. Liturgical Ministry - plans and prepares for Sunday and special liturgies. Mary, Help of Christians - Vietnamese Center - evangelizes and lives the Word of God with joy in service to others; putting faith in God through our Vietnamese Community. Offertory Counters - assists in counting and sorting the offertory collections from the weekend masses. Our Lady of Manaoag Prayer Group - promotes devotion to the Blessed Mother. Respect for Life Ministry - promotes the Catholic Church's teaching that all human life is sacred and must be protected. Right of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) - prepared adults to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation. Sacristan Ministry - facilitates of setting up masses for the priest, helps facilitate and support adoration. Sacro Costato Lay Association Safety Commission - advises and ensures safety standards to protect the public, workers, and environment of St. Luke's parish. Senior Out Reach - to minister and connect seniors of St. Luke's parish. St. Luke's Preschool St. Luke's Elementary School Ushers - assists at mass and other special events with the seating of worshippers, crowd control, and taking up collections. Virgin of Guadalupe - dedicated to the devotion to our Lady of Guadalupe through our Spanish Prayer Group. Youth Ministry - evangelizes, empowers, and engages our young people of the church in deepening their knowledge and relationship with Jesus; and to carry out the corporal and spiritual works of mercy.
